Are my images marked as AI-generated?

Veeton marks AI-generated visuals two ways: invisible credentials that always travel with the file, and a visible watermark you choose to switch on. Both exist for the EU AI Act’s transparency rules, which ask that AI-generated content be marked as such.

Content Credentials — always on, invisible

Section titled “Content Credentials — always on, invisible”

Every image you export carries a C2PA Content Credential: signed metadata recording that the image was AI-generated and that Veeton produced it. There is nothing to switch on, and it does not change how the image looks.

Anyone can check it by dropping the file on verify.contentauthenticity.org.

Opening the image in another tool and re-saving it usually strips the credential. That is how image formats work, not a Veeton setting — so export from Veeton last, after any outside edits.

A visible mark painted onto the image. It is off by default.

Turn it on from the sidebar: ConfigurationExport, then the AI watermark section. That sets the default for everyone in your organization.

Exporting from LibraryProducts also shows the AI watermark section in the export window. A change made there applies to that one export and leaves your organization’s default untouched.

Pick at least one of the three elements, otherwise nothing is painted:

  • Label — the text, “Made with Veeton AI” unless you write your own
  • Logo — your brand logo (PNG, JPEG or WebP, under 2 MB) or Veeton’s
  • Background — a coloured plate behind the label, so it stays readable

The preview shows the result before you export.

Only AI-generated visuals. Your own uploaded product photos never carry it, because AI did not generate them:

  • Exporting only your own uploads — they come out untouched, and Veeton drops the watermark for that export.
  • Exporting a mix — your AI results are watermarked, your uploads are not.

This is separate from the free-trial watermark, which marks every trial generation regardless of these settings and disappears on any paid plan.
