How do I upload new product photos or packshots on Veeton?
Your products live in the Products library, and everything you generate starts from there.
Start an import
Section titled “Start an import”In the left-hand sidebar, open the Library section, click Products, then Add products. The Import products dialog takes you through three steps: pick a source, review what was detected, and upload.
Pick a source
Section titled “Pick a source”- Images — choose individual files, or drag and drop them into the dialog
- Folder — import a whole directory in one go
- Phone capture — scan a QR code and shoot your packshots directly from your phone
Import from Shopify is also available from the library if your products are already in your store.
Shooting from your phone after the scan
Section titled “Shooting from your phone after the scan”The link the QR code opens lasts 15 minutes; the pill at the top of the phone reads Linked to your computer with the time left. The first screen asks What are you shooting? — Several products (one photo = one product, fastest for a full rail) or One product, several views (front, back, detail… the first shot is the main view); the choice holds for the session — scan again to start the other way. In the views option the photos group under the product you are shooting: tap Add another product when you are done with one, and the next photos start the following product. Photos appear on your computer as you shoot, in the import dialog’s phone step. The pill stays on every phone screen; when the countdown runs out the phone shows Link expired. The photos already received stay in the import dialog on your computer — click Continue with n photos to keep them; starting a new link (a new QR code) begins an empty list, so continue first, then open a new link for the rest.
Let Veeton pair the front and back views
Section titled “Let Veeton pair the front and back views”When your filenames follow a naming convention, Veeton works out which product each file belongs to and which view it is. A front and a back photo then become one product with two views rather than two separate products.
The import dialog shows the expected structure. Adapt it to your own naming under Configuration → Preferences → Import — including the words you use for each view, so recto and dos work just as well as front and back.
Review before uploading
Section titled “Review before uploading”The review step tells you how many products were detected and shows each one’s front and back slots. From there you can:
- Replace an image, or add more files
- Add additional views to a product
- Open the form to fill in Category, Gender (Women, Men, Unisex or Kids), Title, SKU and Description. Expand all opens these fields for every product at once, which saves time on a large import
- Assign the whole import to a project and add tags, from the panel on the side
Then click Upload products. They land in your Products library, ready for a photo shoot.
The front view is the only thing genuinely required. The category is what the AI reads; the remaining fields help you navigate a large catalog. You only need a back view if you want to generate back-view images.
Veeton fills in some details for you
Section titled “Veeton fills in some details for you”You do not have to complete every field yourself. Once your products are uploaded, Veeton reads the images and fills in what it can on its own — the gender, the category, a description, and which view each image shows. A product being processed displays Auto-annotating… in your library. It runs in the background, costs no credits, and you can carry on working meanwhile.
Auto-annotation leaves anything you entered yourself alone: it only completes the fields you have not filled in.
Beautify your packshots
Section titled “Beautify your packshots”From the library, select one or several products and click Beautify to render them on their own, as a flatlay or on a ghost mannequin. Each beautified image costs 10 credits. Recolor works the same way.
Import from your phone
Section titled “Import from your phone”Tap Create in the bar at the bottom, then Import products — they land in the project shown next to the title, if one is open — or tap Add products in a project’s Products section to link them to it. The toggle next to the camera says whether each photo is its own product (1 per photo) or all are views of one (Views of one — the first is then the main view), and you can switch until the review. Shoot with the camera card, one photo at a time, or pick several from your gallery; tap a photo’s view chip to tag it as you go, hold a tile to remove it, then tap Review n products and tap a product on the review screen to set its name, reference, gender, per-photo view and projects, and tap Import. A photo we cannot read is flagged as you add it; if the import fails, tap Import again — products already through are in your library.
Upload from a photo shoot
Section titled “Upload from a photo shoot”You can also add products while setting up a photo shoot: choose to upload new products rather than picking from your library, and the same review step follows.
The product you add this way is the photo shoot’s main product. Styling is a separate slot, where you add the other products that complete the look.
