How to set up your import preferences

Configuration → Import is where you tell Veeton how your files are organised, so an import fills in product details by itself.

Build a template

Click New, name the template, then build the folder structure by clicking tokens: Product name, Reference, Gender, Orientation. / creates a subfolder, and - or _ separate fields inside one segment — for example {reference}-{name}/{orientation}. Any segment that is not a token is ignored, so a SS24 folder in the path costs you nothing. Always include a product name or a reference: that is what groups several files into a single product.

The preview shows a sample folder tree and what Veeton detects from it, so you can check the template against your real naming before saving.

Teach it your words

Orientation names and Gender names map your vocabulary onto Veeton’s. Add comma-separated keywords on each row — recto, face for Front, femme, w for Women. Each value’s own name is always recognised, and text matching nothing at all is ignored.

Keep several templates

Templates belong to your organisation and one of them is active — the one every import uses. Select another to switch, or Edit and Delete at any time. Reset to default brings back the standard structure.

You can also get there from the import dialog itself: the expected-structure panel names the active template and has a settings button to edit it.
